Heat exchanger with ribbed tubes in several planes

In the direction of layered tubes (1) with ribs (2) end plates are fitted (3, 4) at the ends. In one end plate a coupling plate (7) is located with a feed (5) and return through aperture (6). The two apertures in the coupling plate are each of such length as to permit the coupling of a feed and return pipe (9) at any arbitrary point. Pref. the coupling plate is of identical length as the endplates. The feed and return through apertures are formed between one end plate and the coupling plate linked to it. The tubes may contain a U-shaped passage, interconnecting the extended parts at one side.
