The arrangement uses a flexible angled band (3) which in cross section has a shank (3a) projecting over an edge of the glass (2). The shank forms an outwardly open channel (13) to receive connecting elements (15). The shank is separated from an inner space (6) by a sealing strip (8) and the shank section (3d) has holes (5) for in-filling with an adhesive. The angled band is divided into individual sections (20) which are joined to each other by series of bars (21 and 22).
