PURPOSE:To obtain the title foam without the detrimental effect of destroying the ozone layer in the stratosphere by pouring a foaming mixture comprising an isocyanate compd., a polyol compd., necessary auxiliary additives, and a specific blowing agent into a mold. CONSTITUTION:A process for producing a molded urethane foam having a high-density surface layer by pouring a foaming mixture comprising an isocyanate compd., a polyol compd., a catalyst, a blowing agent, and necessary auxiliary additives into a mold, wherein a mixture of a halogenated hydrocarbon or a substitute for a chlorofluorocarbon blowing agent with a flammable, low- boiling org. solvent is used as the blowing agent. Thus, the desired molded urethane foam is produced by only replacing the blowing agent without using a chlorofluorocarbon blowing agent, such as CFC-11 or CFC-113, having a high ozone-depleting power (ODP). |
