COMPOSITE ADSORBENT AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a composite adsorbent high in packing density and adsorbing capacity per vol. and low in pressure loss. CONSTITUTION:This composite adsorbent 7 is obtained by molding a mixture of fine ACF 1 (activated carbon fiber) and ACG 2(granular activated carbon). The length of the fine ACF 1 is pref. 30-150mum. In producing the composite adsorbent, the fine ACF and ACG are mixed and the resulting mixture is molded under compression stress of 20-80kgf/cm<2>. For example, the compression stress is realized by compression molding using a mold or vacuum suction molding.
