PURPOSE:To provide a running position display which is easily mounted on a vehicle with regard to the running position display for showing its position on the display together with a map. CONSTITUTION:A travel distance of a vehicle is calculated on the basis of output of an acceleration sensor 25, the current position of the vehicle is computed from the calculated travel distance and the advance azimuth of the vehicle calculated on the basis of output of an azimuth sensor 1, map data corresponding to the calculated position is read from storing CD-ROM 7, and the map and its position are shown on a liquid crystal display 8A. |
