<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electrophotographic toner excellent in fixability at a high speed or at low temp. and pressure and in the offset resistance to a fixing roller and further having a good blocking resistance by adding a phenol- modified polysiloxane to the toner. CONSTITUTION:A phenol-modified polysiloxane is incorporated into a toner contg at least a binder resin and a colorant. In this case, since the phenol- modified polysiloxane lowers the softening point of the toner, the toner is melted sufficiently even in a low-temp. thermal fixing roll, and hence a high fixing strength is provided. Further, since the polysiloxane itself has a releasing effect and the phenol-modified polysiloxane is reactive to the binder resin, the polysiloxane is sufficiently dispersed in the binder resin, a toner having highly stable triboelectric charge quantity and picture density, etc., is obtained.</p> |
