PURPOSE:To provide a method performing an interpolation maximum value projection processing at high speed. CONSTITUTION:At first, the nearest maximum value projection processing is performed, interpolation data is made for the point of the peripheral location of a data point which becomes the nearest maximum value and a maximum value projection is performed. A maximum value projection on a nearest maximum value projection surface 102 is performed for three-dimensional discrete data 101 and the distance from the projection surface at the time is stored in a distance storage surface 103. Next, the data value for which an interpolation processing is performed from three- dimensional data 101 is determined for the point on the line sight of projection of the peripheral locations such as points P1, P2 and P3, etc., which become maximum values by referring to the distance data of the distance storage surface 102, and the maximum value projection on a projection surface 104 is performed for the value. The data obtained on the projection surface 104 becomes an interpolation maximum value projection image. Therefore, the interpolation maximum value projection image whose picture quality is not inferior can be obtained at extremely high speed as compared with a method performing the maximum value projection processing by successively performing the interpolation processing for the sampling point on the line of sight of projection. |
