The non-belt power transmitting system, which is formed in a compact structure instead of a rubber belt system for use in transmitting the engine power to a generator, comprises a spiral bevel gear(12) installed on a crankshaft(11) of an engine(1); a driving pinion(13) meshed with the bevel gear(12) and connected to an one-way clutch(14); a flexible ball joint cable(20) containing a lot of flexible ball joints(21); a driven pinion (13') connected to the flexible ball joint; the other spiral bevel gear(12') mounted on a shaft(15) of a generator(5) and meshed with the spiral bevel gear(12').
