An appts. for the rinsing of dye residue and thickener from strip textile material comprises: (a) a transverse suction slot (6) under vacuum bounded by two beams (4, 5) resting against the fibre (3) side of the strip (1); (b) an opposing cover plate (12, 12a) resting against the reverse side (2) of the strip (1) fibres; and (c) a device, w.r.t. strip direction, upstream of the vacuum slot for soaking the strip with water. Here the opposing plate is held rigidly w.r.t. the beams (4, 5) by a distance corresp. to the full unfolded strip thickness. Connected to each water supply point (21, 22) there are water slits (19, 20) in each beam (4, 5) parallel to the suction slot (6).
