Multi=chambered membrane solar concentrator

The concentrator has a defined reflection profile produced by drawing a silvered membrane onto a concentric ring shaped support structure by controlled levels of vacuum. Sensors (8) inside the ring shaped suction chambers monitor the spacing to the rear of the membrane. The separate ring shaped chambers are linked to suction lines with the levels of pressure controlled to maintain a programmed profile of the membrane. A controlled air inlet (7) enables a two way control to be achieved.
