A dispenser including a chamber (1) attached to a wall having two housings (3) for batteries (2) supplying power to an electromechanical device. The material to be dispensed is held in a flexible bag (6) hanging from two hooks (7) each of which is made to slide along a member (8) by springs (5). The lower portion of the bag is also supported by two hooks (9), and includes a flexible tube (10) with a nozzle (11) at the lower end thereof which is made of a resiliently deformable material and remains closed when not in use. An electromagnet (19) controls a clamp (12) for simultaneously squeezing the tube (10) and the nozzle (11) so that a dose of liquid material is dispensed under its own weight. The dispenser is used to dispense liquid soap or asepticising substances, particularly in hospital environments.
