<p>A portable sawmill with lateral and longitudinal stability which comprises: (a) first and second substantially rectangular end frames (11, 12), each end frame comprising two horizontal and two vertical members; (b) longitudinal, horizontal rails (21, 22) slidably connected by means of brackets (19) to corresponding first and second vertical members; (c) first and second winding means (20) in combination with respective first and second upper horizontal members (13); (d) idler wheels located at the bottom of each vertical member, wherein each bracket is connected by use of flexible joining means, as defined herein, by way of the respective winding means and the respective idler wheels, to the bottom of the respective end frame in such a manner that positive up-and-down winding of the rails is achieved.</p> |
