SEQUENTIAL SCANNING CONVERSION CIRCUIT

The device converts interlaced scanning to sequential scanning for the high definition television(HDTV). The device includes: a filter which limits the bandwidth of the composite video signal by the horizontal lowpass filtering process; first and second operation detectors which generate first and second operation adaptation coefficients by detecting the operation between frames; a brightness/color separation unit which extracts the color signal from the composite video signal by subtracting the brightness signal; and first and second sequential scanning output units.
