PURPOSE:To obtain the merchandise reservation in forming system which eliminates frequent customers visits to a store and saves store clerks labor by automatically notify that the customers orders are ready by telephone or FAX when articles subscribed by the customers arrive. CONSTITUTION:When a customer reserves merchandise, customer information such as the name, telephone number, etc., is inputted to a customer information part 3 from a keyboard 20 through an input part. Then the merchandise number and quantity are inputted and the inventory is retrieved by automatically referring to a merchandise information part 2, thereby displaying whether the it is in stock on a display part 5. When it is in stock, delivery necessary items such as a shipment date are inputted. When the article is out of stock, on the other hand, the ordered quantity, etc., is stored in the merchandise information part 2, and reservation information on the merchandise number, customer number, etc., is stored in a reservation information part 4. When the merchandise arrives and its information is inputted, the data in the merchandise information part 2 are rewritten and the reservation state is read out. On the basis of the reservation information part 4 and customer information part 3, a telephone line connection part 7 makes a connection and arrival information is sent to the customer by voice or characters from an information generation part 6. |
