<p>PURPOSE:To improve the durability and corrosion resistance by forming a lubricative layer contg. a phosphoric ester compd. and a fluorine-contg. carboxylic ester compd. having alkylene oxide groups on a magnetic layer optionally after an inorg. protective layer is formed. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic recording medium has a ferromagnetic metallic thin film on the nonmagnetic substrate and a lubricative layer contg. a phosphoric monoester compd. represented by formula I and a fluorocarboxylic ester compd. having alkylene oxide groups represented by formula II or III on the ferromagnetic metallic thin film. The lubricative layer is excellent in mu-value and preservability as well as in characteristics as a liq. lubricant, has adsorptive property to the magnetic layer because of hydrophilic property of alkylene oxide, does not cause film breaking even in the case of low-speed running, reduces the coefft. of friction and exhibits rust preventiveness.</p> |
