<p>PURPOSE:To suppress influence of welding to the minimum and improve productivity at the time of manufacture process of a filter module for purifying exhaust gas in an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:A filter module is provided with a filter 6 for collecting particulates included in exhaust gas in an internal combustion engine, a filter housing pipe 24 for housing the filter 6 a filter holding means 26, and a filter housing pipe fixing means 27 having an inserting part which is brought in contact with the outer circumference of the filter housing pipe 24 and a flange part 29 for installation. A gas seal means 30 provided in the vicinity of the end surface most outer circumference of the filter 6, the compressing means 31 of a gas seal means having an inserting part which is brought in contact with the side surface inner side of the filter housing pipe 24 and the compressing part of the gas seal means 30, and the end surface 35 of fitting part of the filter housing pipe 24, the filter housing pipe fixing means 27, and the compressing means 31 of the gas seal means, are welded together.</p> |
