PURPOSE:To simultaneously record/reproduce both surfaces after making addresses on both main surfaces coincide with each other within one sector by recording a positional deviation of physical addresses formed on both main surfaces of a disk substrate in the peripheral direction on the recording track of either one side of both main surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A position PM where a logical address AM starts from the sector 13 of (m) in an A surface is placed in the sector 13 of m-1 of the logical address BM in a B surface, that is, it becomes the state where the addresses of both main surfaces mutually coincide within one sector. Then, when the data are recorded on both main surfaces of the disk--like optical recording medium, first of all, the data are divided into two parts, and the one side data are recorded on the recording track 14 of the A surface, and the other side data are recorded on the recording track 15 of the B surface.
