PURPOSE:To realize special reproduction in a CATV system of the near video on-demand system. CONSTITUTION:Plural advanced phases or delayed phases of time shift video information sent from a head end 100 are received simultaneously by an advance read memory 302, an IP selection encoder 303 extracts only in-plane coded data from the data to generate special reproduction video information such as fast forwarding/rewinding, a multiplexer 305 multiplexes them and the result is sent by a transmitter 306. A tuner channel selection means 201 of a set top box 200 at a viewer side selects a relevant channel to realize special reproduction. |
