<p>PURPOSE:To provide a character input device which is capable of performing the inputs of many characters without erroneous operations without lowering the instruction operability of an operator even if a miniaturized display surface is used. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with an indicator 101 with tablet which is capable of performing the position input on a plane and the display of an image within the same display surface, a pen 102 performing the instruction operation of the position input, a pen operation area 103 where a tablet is composed and the instruction operation of the position input by the pen 102 is performed, a character string storage means 106 where an input possible character string is stored by making the pen operation area 103 and a character position be corresponded, a pen operation detection means 105 detecting the instruction operation by the pen 102, a character designation means 107 of interest designating the character corresponding to the character string storage means 106 based on the detection of the pen operation detection means 105 and a noticed character display means 104 displaying the character designated by the noticed character designation means 107 on the indicator 101 with tablet.</p> |
