PURPOSE:To attain optional setting of an alarm time by providing a means decoding a designated signal in response to the detection of a frame synchronizing signal and a means calibrating a calendar or time to a content of the decoded designated signal to the calling receiver. CONSTITUTION:A switching circuit 1 applies voltage with a prescribed waveform intermittently to a radio section 20 and a waveform shaping circuit 30 to make the operation of a power supply efficient. When a desired radio frequency signal comes while the voltage is applied, a reception signal is detected via an antenna 10, the radio section 20 and the circuit 30 and when the signal is an individual selective call signal of the receiver, a decoder 40 detects the signal to release battery saving. Then the voltage is applied continuously to the radio section 20 and when a succeeding frame synchronizing signal is detected, a content in a PROM 50 in which a call signal of a concerned receiver is written is compared with the reception signal and when the coincidence is confirmed, a processing section 60 processes a message signal to activate an alarm horn 80 and a display device 90. |
