PURPOSE:To obtain a document processor which facilitates setting information for format information prescribing the output format, etc., of a document as for document prepare/update processing. CONSTITUTION:This document processor is provided with a document processing part 1 which prepares and updates the document according to input information, provides format information for document data 3 of each document, and when outputting a document, controls the output arrangement of character string data of the documents according to the format information. Furthermore this processor is provided with a format copying part 2, and the document processing part 1 requests the format copying part 2 to perform processing when inputting a specific format copy instruction and the format copying part 2 reads the format information out of the document data 3 of a copy source document determined by the format copy instruction and sets the format information as format information on a copy destination document determined by the format copy instruction. |
