<p>The trigger sprayer (10) comprises: a body (14) having a cylinder (22) therein, liquid inlet structure (42) in communication with the cylinder (22), an outlet waterway (54) in communication with the cylinder (22), outlet nozzle structure including a nozzle (16) which has an outlet orifice and which is movable to and from a position in communication with the waterway (54), a piston (20) having ends (30, 43) and being received in the cylinder (22), a trigger (24) operatively coupled to the body (14) and acting on the outer end (34) of the piston (20), and a precompression valve (12) in a fluid path between the piston (20) and the outlet orifice. The precompression valve (12) is operable to allow liquid in a first part of the fluid path to reach the outlet orifice only after a predetermined pressure is established in the cylinder (22) and to stop liquid from reaching the outlet orifice when the pressure in the cylinder (22) falls below the predetermined pressure.</p> |
