The vehicle door cladding unit, for acoustic insulation, uses a previously assembled unit with the door cladding (2) and a foam body (3). The foam body (3) has at least one mounting flap (7) to swing on a pivot point towards the door panel (6). At least one mounting (9) at the edge outline (8) gives a sealed contact with the door cladding (2). The foam body (3) is of polyethylene with a wall thickness of 1-10 mm and a density of 20-150 kg/m<3>.
