The invention relates to a method for operating a gas-turbine and steam-turbine plant (1), in which the heat contained in the expanded working medium (A') from the gas turbine (2) is utilized to generate steam for the steam turbine (10) connected into a water/steam circuit (12), the working medium (A) for the gas turbine (2) being generated by the combustion of a fuel (B, B') along with the supply of compressed air (L). To increase the efficiency of the plant, provision is made, according to the invention, for the generated steam, before being introduced into the steam turbine (10), to be superheated by means of heat occurring during hydrogen/oxygen combustion. The plant (1) comprises a waste-heat steam generator (14) which is located downstream of the gas turbine (2) on the exhaust-gas side and in which a number of heating surfaces (20 to 28) connected into the water/ steam circuit (12) of the steam turbine (10) are arranged, there being provided a hydrogen/oxygen burner (58) which is connected into the water/steam circuit (12) between the waste-heat steam generator (14) and the steam turbine (10).
