Through-furnace for heating glasspanes

In a through-furnace for heating horizontally transported glass panes to their bending and/or prestressing temp., the transport system comprises a row of carrier plates within the furnace, each plate having a rigid frame, over which a heat resistant membrane is stretched as the seating surface for a glass pane. Pref. the membrane consists of a woven heat resistant metal fibre fabric.
