The probe (1) includes an elongated supporting component (60) having two parallel beams (61) stabilised by crossbars (62). The probe is secured into the wall of the gas duct (80) with a flanged housing (70) and sealed with a core (63) between the beams. A static pressure transducer (10) and an overall pressure transducer (20) are attached to the respective beam ends within the duct. A radiation source (30) and receiver (40) face each other across the opening in the wall, to determine the temp. of the gas from the velocity of the radiation, which may be acoustic or Pm-147 beta-particles.
