<p>A process for electrodepositing a coating on an electroconductive article comprises (i) immersing the article in a photoimageable electrodeposition coating compsn. (I); and (ii) forming an electrodeposition coated film on the surface of the article using an electric current as anode. (I) comprises an aq. dispersion of (a) a water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer which has an acid value of 20-300 and a Mn of not less than 300, and which when unsatd. has an unsaturation equiv. of 150-3000, and when satd. is used in combination with an ethylenically unsatd. cpd.; (b) an initiator or initiating system; and (c) a metal salt of a beta -diketone of formula (II) M = metal cation selected from Al3+, Ca2+, Ni2+, Cr3+, Mg2+ and Fe3+; R, R1 = 1-18C alkyl or 6-30 C aryl gp.; and n = valency of metal.</p> |
