PURPOSE:To obtain a novel organosilicon compound which is useful as a starting substance for production of elastic polymers and can be readily producible from a readily available and easily handleable olefinic compound and an easily handleable disilane and is readily separated and purified. CONSTITUTION:This compound is expressed by formula I [A<5>-A<10> are an alkyl, an aryl, an aralkyl, acyloxy, F, Br, Cl; A is (cyclo)alkylene], for example, 2- exo-3-exo-bis(trimethylsilyl)norbornane. The compound is obtained by reaction of (A) an olefinic compound of the formula, R<1>R<2>C=CHR<3> [one of R<1> and R<2> is H and the other links with R<3> to form a (cyclo)alkylene] such as norbornene with (B) a disilane of formula II (R<4>-R<9> are A<5>) such as hexamethyl-disilane, preferably at a molar A/B ratio of 100/1-1/10, in the presence of a platinum- organophosphorus complex catalyst such as tetrakis(triphenylphosphine) platinum. |
