<p>PURPOSE:To produce an aluminum casting, free from leakage and excellent in airtightness, for use in a parts item where the aluminum casting is used in its part having a pressure difference between its inside and outside, independently of the amount of formation of pores. CONSTITUTION:This aluminum casting has a composition consisting of, by weight ratio, 4.0-13.0% Si, <=4.5% Cu, <=1.5% Mg, and the balance Al with impurities and further containing either or both of 0.03-0.20% Ti and 10-100ppm B, and further, the average crystalline grain size of the aluminum casting is regulated to a figure one-third or less the wall thickness of the aluminum casting. By this is method, the aluminum alloy casting useful for air suction system parts can be obtained.</p> |
