PURPOSE:To rightly make possible focussing on an object to be photographed without any time-lag even if the object to be photographed does not exist in a picture center part by performing distance measurement at each point in the picture as the direction of the distance measurement is quickly changed successively. CONSTITUTION:A distance measurement result from a distance measurement part 10 is supplied to an operation control part 12. The direction of distance measurement of the distance measurement part 10 is changed and controlled through a distance measurement change part 11 by the operation control part 12. The distance measurement result of each point in the same scene is input from the distance measurement part 10, and, from its result, a plurality of the distance measurement results of the same object to be photographed are judged with a judgement part 14. In addition, the plurality of the above distance measurement results are averaged and precision-high distance measurement results are calculated with an average operation part 13. |
