PURPOSE:To provide a joint box for a flat cable excellent in the reliability and producibility, with which it is possible to connect the conductor of a flat cable with the conductor of another circuit certainly and easily. CONSTITUTION:A flat cable 2 and another circuit 21 are accommodated in an upper housing 23 and a lower housing 24 in the condition that their conductor 7, 22 are laid with one over the other. The conductor insertion part of the flat cable 2 is provided with a punched hole 29 according to the applicable circuit. When the upper and lower housings 23, 24 are consolidated, a fixing pin 32 on the upper housing 23 penetrates the punched hole 29 and a through hole 23 in another circuit 22 so that the flat cable 2 and the circuit 21 are fixed together. A laser beam introducing hole 25 is made in the upper housing 23, and the contacting parts of the conductors 7, 22 are welded together by introducing a laser beam. |
