<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the image forming device in which a direction of paper is not reversed by controlling whether an image is to be outputted as a normal image or a reverse image on both sides of paper based on the kind of the original paper as to whether the paper is of a portrait original or of a landscape original and on the setting direction of binding margin. CONSTITUTION:When the operation is started, set originals are sequentially positioned accurately on an original platen glass 18 from a lowermost original of the set originals by using a paper feed roller 501. A scanner 19 reads a lower side of the original in this state and when the reading is finished, the original is U-turned by a reverse roller 507 and discharged onto a paper discharge tray 511. The length of the original is detected by using a paper feed sensor SE 51 on the way of carrying and led again to a lower side of a carrier belt 506 and carried at a prescribed speed depending on a copy magnification and passes on the scanner 19 in standby at a rear side read position on its way. Thus, the rear side of the original is read during carrying and when reading is finished, the belt 506 is reversed and the paper is discharged on the tray 511 by using a reverse roller 509.</p> |
