PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic safe to human body, free from stickiness to the skin, containing the active component of rice bran in a state effectively absorbable through the skin and exhibiting improved cosmetic effect. CONSTITUTION:This cosmetic is composed of (1) a substance produced by the enzymatic decomposition of hydrated-rice bran or the treatment of the bran with a malt, (2) an extract of rice bran, (3) a substance produced by subjecting rice bran to enzymatic decomposition or malt treatment before, during or after the extraction of rice bran, (4) a substance produced by carrying out the enzymatic decomposition or malt-treatment of rice bran and subjecting the product to alcoholic fermentation or (5) a substance produced by the alcoholic fermentation of a treated bran produced by subjecting rice bran to enzymatic decomposition or malt treatment before, during or after the extraction of rice bran. Each of the above components may be used as it is or in the form of a composition containing the component. |
