WIRE PRESSURE CONTACT METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRESSURE CONTACT TERMINAL

PURPOSE:To provide a wire pressure contact method and device by which a pressure contact terminal is securely fixed at a preset position in a housing and a wire makes secure pressure contact connection without deforming a pressure contact edge at the time of work for bringing the wire into pressure contact with pressure contact terminal. CONSTITUTION:The pressure contact press mainbody 2 of a wire pressure contact device A has a longitudinal cutout groove inside and a pressure contact punch 1 protruded from an opening 2a on the side wall and an opening at the bottom and movable holders 3 on both sides. The bonding punch 1 in a plane shape is mounted on the bonding die mainbody 2 with a locking shaft 6 passed through a through hole in the upper part. It has a pair of grooves 1a at the lower end so as to be extended upward and a recessed groove 7 at the lower edge. The plane movable holders 3 opposing each other are arranged along both side faces of the bonding punch 1, with one end energized downward by plural elastic members 4 supported inside the pressure contact press mainbody 2. The movable holders 3 have cutouts 5 in the lower ends.
