PURPOSE:To provide a window assembly of gasket integral type for a vehicle, capable of efficiently receiving rainwater on a window plate and capable of preventing the rainwater from scattering and from sticking to a side window, and a method of manufacturing this window assembly. CONSTITUTION:In a method charging a cavity 24 of a forming die 20 with rubber or resin by interposing a peripheral part of a window plate 2, in which a part of radius of curvature R3 smaller than a central part is provided in a side to a side edge 2S, and integrally molding a gasket 3 secured to the peripheral part of the window plate 2, a water receiving part 7 is formed in a part along the side edge 2S of the gasket 3. Here by providing a water receiving surface forming face 25 so that a water receiving surface 7a of the water receiving part 7 is positioned between a normal 11c of an external surface of the window plate 2 passing through a water receiving surface base part and a line 11b parallel to a normal 11a in a central part of the window plate 2, an undercut is eliminated, and an acute angular water collecting groove 12 is formed in a part along the side edge 2S. |
