PURPOSE:To provide a control device for a fluid coupling clutch in which a shock generated in changeover of the clutch from partial cylinder operation to full cylinder operation is reduced, while maintaining a fuel consumption reduction effect by partial cylinder operation. CONSTITUTION:When an engine 1 makes a partial cylinder operation in a perfect direct-connection area of a damper clutch 28, an ECU6 connects the damper clutch 28 directly by a feed oil pressure for partial cylinder operation lower than that for full cylinder operation. As a result, when the engine 1 is moved from the partial cylinder operation to full cylinder operation, the damper clutch 28 is slipped instantaneously to absorb a variation in torque, thus preventing a shock generated in the changeover of the clutch. |
