The milling cutter (3) associated with the outer saw blade (4a) is also associated with the other saw blades (4b). The cutter extends across the max. nominal overall thickness of the side material to be cut. Plate flanges (5) support the extra saw blades, and surround the saw shaft (2) of the outer blade, sliding in axial direction. The cutter and the extra saw blades have apertures (5a), which are formed, so that the plate flanges and the cutter can engage into each other in direction of the rotary axis (RA). The extra saw blades are displaceable in the axial working area of the cutter.
