The flexible drive coupling has a linkage ball (16) joined to a membrane (9) in a torque transmitting manner. The membrane is plate-shaped in cross section and the edge regions are secured to the housing half (5). The housing half is fastened to the other housing half (6) which receives the linkage ball such that the membrane is joined at the centre to the ball. The membrane can also be ring-shaped in cross section.
