PURPOSE:To mount a connector certainly on a printed circuit board. CONSTITUTION:A connector for printed circuit board includes a lead 33 and an upward motion preventing member 7, with which the whole lead part is hindered from upward motion and deformation relative to a housing even when an upward directed force is applied to the lead 33 through the action of the upward motion preventing member 7 which is contacted with the oversurface of the middle part 33a. Accordingly the lead 33 remains without upward motion even though an upward directed reactive force is applied from the printed circuit board P to the lead part which has not been inserted in a through hole H due to deformation of the end 33b, etc., caused by any external force, and with the resistance against upward motion, the housing 1 can not be pressed properly to the circuit board P. This permits knowing that any of a number of leads can not be inserted in the through hole due to deformation. |
