PURPOSE:To provide an electrochemical measuring method, which provides good measurement sensitivity, can perform stable measurement with good reproducibility even when a sample contains an interfering substance such as blood, and can be suitably used for disposable usage, and to provide a new p-phenylene diamine compound used for this method. CONSTITUTION:In an electrochemical measuring method using an oxidation- reduction enzyme, an oxidation-reduction enzyme, an electron transporting substance, and an electrode which can carry out electron transport, with the electron transporting substance are arranged in a measuring system, and for accomplishing the purpose, such compounds as p-phenylene diamine derivatives or their salts having one of more group selected from a hydroxyl group, a mercapto group, a carboxyl group, a phosphonoxy group, and a sulfo group, or p-phenylene diamine derivatives or their salts having an alkyl group, a hydrogen atom, and previously described groups are used for the electron transporting substance. |
