PURPOSE:To prevent defect in plate making by a dip developing method, to make quick processing possible, to always supply a new processing liquid, and to enable processing with a small quantity of waste processing liquid to be conducted without complicatedness in maintenance by breaking the positional relationship of a gap between a pair of barlike members to let a processing liquid remaining in the gap between the barlike members escape. CONSTITUTION:Substantially immediately after a developing liquid in a developing liquid tank 6 is previously supplied from a supply pipe 4 by a supply pump 5 to form a sump in a gap between the barlike members 1a, 1b, a photosensitive material M transported by transport rollers 2a, 2b is transported to the above gap. After the terminal of the photosensitive material M passes the gap between the barlike members 1a, 1b, the supply pump 5 is stopped. The position of the barlike member 1 is separated from the barlike member 1a by the rotation of the platelike member 1c, whereby a developing liquid remaining in the gap between one pair of barlike members 1a, 1b by interfacial tension is separated so as to prevent fixing of the liquid. One of the paired barlike members 1a, 1b is fixed, and the position of both ends or one end of the other member may be broken. |
