PURPOSE:To thin a cross-section surface of a luminaire so as to, make its appearance good, lower its cost, and carry out feed wiring easily at the time of joining work. CONSTITUTION:A luminaire is provided with a linear tubular discharge lamp 1 and a discharge lamp lighting apparatus 2 to supply high frequency electric power to the discharge lamp 1 through an oscillation transformer OT and the discharging lamp lighting apparatus 2 and sockets 3a, 4a are connected together electrically by two duct wirings 5c, 5d connected to an AC electric power supply AC. A first preheating coil N3 formed on one end side of a secondary coil N2 of the oscillation transformer OT is connected to one side filament f1 of the discharge lamp 1 and the other end side of the secondary coil N2 is connected to one side duct wiring 5c of the wiring duct 5. A preheating transformer PT is placed in connection between the two duct wirings 5c, 5d of the wiring duct and the secondary side of the preheating transformer PT is used as a second preheating coil N4 and connected to the other side flament f2 of the discharge lamp 1 and one end of the second preheating coil N4 and one side duct wiring 5c of the wiring duct 5 are short-circuited to each other. |
