Motor vehicle security device for automatic activation of flashing tail lamps on vehicle by impact

The device powers the warning lamps by an auxiliary battery independent of the main battery of the vehicle. The auxiliary battery protected by supple mountings, is situated toward the rear of the vehicle, and operates in parallel with the main battery, but with protection against short circuit. The lamps can be activated by the driver or by a motion of impact detector, which responds to sudden deceleration. The system is activated by unlocking of the driver's door. This causes the warning lights to flash. Immediately rotation of the rear wheels is detected the flashing of the warning lamps is interrupted. If a collision is detected the warning lights resume flashing till the driver's door is locked.
