In order to join preferably mitre cut board (10), first the mitre surfaces (12) are cut into the boards and the longitudinal grooves (20) with a dovetailed cross-section are worked into the mitre surfaces (12) of both boards (10) to be joined. The boards (10) to be joined from a pair of grooves that are held together by a common holding strip (30) introduced from the end of the board. The holding strip (30) has a double wedge profile made of two diverging wedge profiles symmetrical in relation to the mitre surfaces of the boards. In order to create a simple and quick joint which may be easily adapted to various conditions, the flanks (21, 22) of the dovetailed cross-section of the longitudinal groove (20) are successively worked into the mitre surface (12) of board (10) with a longitudinal offset. The mitre surface of the corresponding board is also realized during the same operation. Both the size of the spreading angle (23) enclosed by both groove flanks and the opening (25) and depth (29) of the longitudinal groove (20) may thus be freely selected and precisely adjusted. |
