<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate a need of support to a user from a higherorder device by detecting that a carriable recording medium where a program for rewrite is recorded is set to a device and loading it to a memory. CONSTITUTION:When a medium 3 only for rewrite is inserted, the medium loading operation is performed, and contents of the track which stores the program for rewrite are read. The signal read out from the medium 3 is demodulated through a demodulating circuit 6 and is stored in a data buffer 9 through a buffer controller 8. Meanwhile, read data is stored in a CM memory 11 through a CM/ROM controller 10 after error check and correction in an ECC/CRC check and correction circuit 7. A microprocessor l discriminates whether read data is correct or not based on these error information and check result information. When it is discriminated that read data is correct, the same operation is repeated; and if it is correct as the result of double and triple check, a microprocessor 2 loads rewrite data stored in the CM memory 11 to a memory 2b.</p> |
