Sound isolation wall for area noise protection

The concrete wall support (1) is lined with a sound absorbing material (2). The wall can have a thickness between 2 mm and 20 cm. The sound absorbing material has a number of equi-spaced circular holes (3-0 to 3-12). The holes are designed to resonate and attenuate in the band 63 Hz to 4000 Hz according to the Helmholtz principal.
