PURPOSE:To enable an image to be formed with a high dye adsorption rate, particularly, with low energy, image stability to be enhanced and contaminative offset onto other material to be prevented from occurring, by providing a heat-resistant dye- receiving layer on a transparent base of a transparent transfer recording material for sublimation transfer. CONSTITUTION:The transparent dye-receiving layer comprising 20-98pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin capable of being dyed and 80-2pts.wt. of a compound having two unsaturated bonds in one molecule thereof is provided on either one or both sides of a transparent plastic base in a thickness of, for example, 2-50mum to obtain the transparent transfer recording material for sublimation transfer. A dye ribbon is laid on the dye-receiving layer, a thermal is brought into contact with the back side of the ribbon, and the ribbon is heated by a heat pattern, whereby the dye of the ribbon is sublimed and transferred onto the dye-receiving layer of the recording material. Since the thermoplastic resin is present in the dye-receiving layer, molecules of the resin are enabled to freely move under the heat from the head at the time of forming an image, namely, when the sublimed dye dyes, so that the flying-in dye can be taken into the dye-receivibn layer at a high efficiency. |
