The device provides an efficient partial image insertion method for the facsimile without sacrificing the original document. The device comprises a selector(30) for choosing either the output of a memory device(20) or a photoelectric transducer(10); an MPU(50) for controlling the data I/O operation of the memory(20) device; and a key control unit(40) for interfacing with user. The device stores the partial image of the document in the memory(20) device and transmits the stored image instead of the original one.
