PURPOSE:To control engine torque to appropriately deal with shift conditions during continuous shifts using a power plant having both an engine whose output torque can be adjusted and an automatic transmission to which the output torque of the engine is inputted and varying the engine torque during the shifts. CONSTITUTION:In a power plant 1 having both an engine 2 whose output torque can be adjusted and an automatic transmission 3 to which the output torque of the engine 2 is inputted, and varying the engine torque during shifts, when a second command to shift gears with a shift ratio varied in the direction opposite to the shift ratio of the first shift is outputted before the first shift has completed, and if the shift ratio at that time is in the same direction as the variation of the shift ratio by the first shift with respect to the gear after the second shift, reduction of torque for the first shift is stopped. |
