PURPOSE: To reduce pulsation of the discharged gas during operation of a closed type rotary screw compressor. CONSTITUTION: A weight biased check valve 20 is located at the entrance of a reflective muffler 40. As a result, both the check valve and muffler are located proximitate to a compressor 100 which minimizes both the volume trapped upon shutdown and the package size. The axis of the weight biased check valve 20 is skewed whereby the weight biasing effect is reduced.
